I’ve been strangely absent.
Today, I updated my blog page for the first time since Boxing Day.
In reflection, I realized that I’ve been procrastinating. My best friend and familiar died on January 18th, 2013. He was my writing buddy. Whether he took residence on my feet, behind me in my seat, or once and a while on my desk… he was the supervisor.
As his last days drew to a close, I believe that stress closed my mind to writing anything but gibberish.
I’m getting back into the driver’s seat, picking up the pieces to move forward.
The silence is strange. My other dog, Tigra is not interested in writing at all. I tried stuffing her in my seat (she’d three times the size of my dear Napoleon) and to disappointment, only one of us can fit in my chair. I think she decided that person should be me and not her.
It will be a period of adjustment for all of us, but he left us with great memories to fall back on. We’ll have many an occasion to laugh as we re-experience life without his physical presence. He will always live on in our hearts.

Thoughts are with you, Bitten. It’s never easy to lose a furry friend
Take comfort in those memories and know you gave him a great life.
Hi Jamie, I appreciate your friendship.
Napoleon gave us many years of memories and smiles.

Sorry to hear about your loss. It’s never easy to get over one of the little ones leaving. If you need to talk at any time we’re here.
Hi CP…
The void is huge, but we’ll push through. He was such a liver of life, I couldn’t dishonor his memory by moping around.
Thank you for your support.
